It’s been quite the busy year for These United States. This past spring they released their (wonderful) debut album, A Picture of the Three of Us at the Gate to the Garden of Eden, and then embarked upon a 30+ date U.S. tour.

When last we met up with Jesse and crew, it was earlier in the summer, on the eve of a UK tour which saw them play at Glastonbury. And now, with their feet barely having touched back upon American soil, These United States are already preparing to hit the road again for their second United States tour of the year, in support of their second upcoming album, Crimes.

This past weekend, D.C. got multiple opportunities to see These United States do their thing live. Iota in Arlington featured a double header on Friday and Saturday night hosted by Instrumental Analysis, which was celebrating their 2nd anniversary. It just so happens that Jesse was celebrating a birthday as well.  The Apparitions, Cotton Jones, and Bellman Barker filled out the bill. Luckily for each of us, These United and the kind folks at Iota have made it possible for AON to feature a stream of their Friday night set for our wonderful audience.
